What does the talking pen do?

Just gently point the pen anywhere on any page in our Discover Wonders books, and... voila! The pen not only reads all of the text in the whole book, but it also allows you to hear characters talk, sound effects, music, and more!

ALSO - with the recording stickers, you can turn any of your kids’ favorite books at home into talking books, turn a family photobook into a talking photobook, record yourself speaking spanish... the possibilities are endless.

Tell me more about the talking pen

The pen has an 8GB memory card and holds 130+ hours of audio. Just plug the pen into your computer with the included USB cable and add, remove, or edit all audio files on the pen. It has a rechargeable lithium battery (no AA batteries!) that you can charge with the included USB cable. The pen also has a headphone jack so it can be used during quiet time or on road trips.

How does the recording work?

Turn your books at home into talking books!! Record your voice onto the stickers and place them on any book's pages so your kids will hear the book in your voice. Record books for your kids to listen to while you're gone on business or on military deployment. There are also many other ways to use them, such as teaching words and sentences in a different language, recording a photobook so the pictures of grandma and grandpa talk, recording tests and assignments, and much more. Re-record the stickers as many times as you want.

What's inside the books?

There are over 50 pages in each book loaded with unit-based science content. Each book has 10-20 units all about STEM, cultural, environmental, and art-related facts behind things kids see every day (water, balloons, bicycles, etc). Children from two to 10 years old will love learning with Discover Wonders. The books also help kids learn to read since they'll be able to see and hear thousands of words in each book with the help of the Discover Talking Pen (sold separately).

Each book’s theme (water, bikes, balloons, etc) is something that kids see around them every day. For example: kids drink water every day, play in water, bathe in water, etc, but do they think about how water puts out a fire, or why some things sink and others float? Each book is designed to help children think more deeply about the world around them and develop their critical thinking skills.
